Preschool students are at an age that is marked by wonder and questioning. It is a time of curiosity and getting into things as they explore the world around them. It is energy beyond belief and a time of quick tears and much laughter.
One of the basic principles of Christian education is the training of the "whole child." This means we attempt to provide activities that will develop a student's mind, body and soul.
Jesus teaches that unless people feel good about themselves, they cannot feel good about others and in turn cannot learn and develop to their fullest potential. We respect each child as a unique child of God and assist each child in building self worth.
Most of all, we know how important it is for a student to know about God's love and how He sent His Son Jesus to save us. Life in the class room is based upon this fact as we strive to grow in that faith as we learn about the world around us.
Children must become involved in order to learn. They must see and feel, taste and smell, listen and do! Becoming messy or dirty or wet or rumpled can be part of the learning process. Becoming involved often means noise and a lot of activity. A clean, quiet child may not necessarily be a learning child. An attempt is made to provide each child with a well-rounded learning experience and a wide range of learning activities that will better prepare them mentally and socially for their life.
